Bitrode Expands International Sales Representatives

St. Louis, MO, USA – “In our quest to improve our global support sales and service network, I am glad to announce that we have added new ‘Team Bitrode’ Agencies in Brazil, Germany, Austria, Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam, and Israel,” announced Craig Brunk, Bitrode’s Director of Sales and Marketing. Bitrode Corporation has signed agreements with four new sales and distribution agencies bringing their total global network up to 20 partners.
Bitrode’s first new sales representative and distributor is Wise-Tech Group located in Rosh Ha’ayin, Israel. Wise-Tech will be handling the sales and service of Bitrode Battery Testers throughout the Israel territory.
The second sales representative and distributor Bitrode has signed is PSP Brasil located in São Paulo, Brasil. The team at PSP Brasil will be handling the Brazil territory as well as surrounding areas in our South American market.
The third sales representative and distributor is Caltest Instruments GMBH located in Kappelrodeck, Germany. The new collaboration with Caltest Instruments will expand Bitrode’s influence in the already thriving German and Austrian battery testing market.
Bitrode’s fourth distributor to have signed on in January is Quantum Technologies Global Pte Ltd. Quantum is a unique and limitless asset to Bitrode due to their large footprint in the Southeast Asian market with their personnel in Singapore, Malaysia, and Vietnam.

Bitrode Celebrating 60 Years of Business

St. Louis, MO, USA – In 2017, Bitrode Corporation will mark a significant milestone by celebrating 60 years of business. Bitrode began in 1957 as an in-house provider to a battery manufacturer in St. Louis, Missouri. Bitrode has always devoted itself exclusively to serving the needs of the storage power industry offering an extensive product line of battery formation and laboratory test equipment, related software tools, battery simulation, and manufacturing automation tools appropriate to all battery applications and chemistries. Battery manufacturers and developers around the globe continue to rely on Bitrode Corporation for innovative energy storage solutions.
‘Most Mature’ Customer Equipment Competition
As part of the 60th anniversary celebration, Bitrode is holding a competition for its customers. Bitrode is looking to find the oldest working piece of equipment that is in the field as well as the oldest piece in general, working or not. Customers have until March 1, 2017 to submit their equipment for consideration. The winners of the competitions will receive a special gift from Bitrode as a thank you as well as a write up and feature in their next newsletter.
Submissions are requested to be sent to firstname.lastname@example.org and to include the piece of equipment, age of the equipment if known (model or serial number if not, so that we may look it up), and a picture if at all possible.

Bitrode Furthers High-Powered Laboratory Testing System

St. Louis, MO, USA – Bitrode Corporation, a leader in the battery charging and testing industry, is once again expanding its FTF-HP High Power product line! Most recently, Bitrode designed, built and shipped a 650kW FTF-HP for use in testing automotive pack batteries.
This machine is capable of charge or discharge cycles up to 650kW with precise control of up to 900 amps and 1000 volts. Parallel functionality allows 4 interconnected systems to operate at an impressive 2.6MW of power for large scale testing applications!
The FTF-HP is designed to switch from charge to discharge seamlessly and has current rise times less than 10ms for zero to full current of the unit. This allows the FTF-HP to meet the rapidly changing testing demands in EV/HEV systems. Discharge power recycling to the AC line makes the FTF-HP more energy efficient to operate. Additionally, the battery simulation function can program constant voltage, maximum current and internal impedance for motor and DC inverter testing applications. The FTF-HP is available in both single and dual circuit configurations.
“The FTF-HP product line has been available in the market for over 2 years now, but recently we have been receiving customer inquiries for higher and higher power levels,” states Craig Brunk, Director of Sales and Marketing of Bitrode. “Applications in automotive racing, train and ship industries are really pushing the envelope towards 1MW of power and voltages over 1000 volts.”
Bitrode Announces 300% Improved Rise Time on Its Family of Pack Testers

St. Louis, MO. USA – In response to evolving needs of the electric vehicle and energy storage industry, Bitrode today announced a significant improvement in the rise time of their FTF line of pack testing equipment. In the battery industry, a reduced rise time is important as it provides the battery chemist, pack designer, or testing laboratory with the ability to aggressively test battery pack and product designs to performance levels expected to be seen in actual use.
The transition time for the current to ramp from 10% to 90% of full scale in a Bitrode FTF has been decreased dramatically from approximately 15 milliseconds (ms) to less than 4ms! Similarly, the 0%-100% transition time is also reduced from approximately 15ms to less than 8ms with no over-shoot! Just as noteworthy, when operating in battery simulator mode and regulating output voltage, Bitrode’s FTF products accommodate fast load current transitions from 0%-100% in less than 3ms! The result is the ability to test sudden and demanding load changes from motor drives or similar as part of drive cycle stress testing of batteries and EV packs, as well as charging/discharging banks of ultra-capacitors.
This 300% improvement in rise time performance enhances the ability of Bitrode’s entire FTF product line to more accurately model real-life demands upon customer products under test. Effective immediately, all new orders received for Bitrode’s FTF products will have this performance enhancement incorporated as a standard feature.
